Star of Texas Rodeo

We had so much fun on Saturday. We ended up waiting too long to get out there and had some bad weather, so we had to go the very last day the rodeo was here. This was Kenzie's first year to go and Sydni's 3rd. We had a blast. We went w/ some friends and their two kids. Wish we could have stayed longer. There is always so much to do. Just a note: If you are going to the carnival, no matter how old your kids are....... buy the wristband online for $20 which gets you your admission for the day too.

Spring Break @ The Ranch

The Fierce Pig Killers!

This is Kenzie in TIME OUT squished between Gigi's legs so she can't get out of the golf cart. She refused to hold Gigi's hand while they walked along the bank of the tank that dropped off on both sides. She's a stubborn little stinker.

One of Sydni's BIG catches. I think she caught 3 or 4!

The girls had such a great time w/ Gigi and PawPaw. Such wonderful memories are made out there.

Doggie Alarm Clock

Marty the Mutt!

How cute is this little guy? It is an alarm clock! You set it and it sleeps with them all night and then wakes up and barks when the alarm goes off. Pretty cute. And we are hoping it will entice Sydni to stay in bed a little longer in the mornings.
;O)
Wishful thinking I'm sure!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Any of you that knew me growing up, and even some now, know that I am a professional eye roller. It got me in alot of trouble w/ some teachers. I won't name any names (Mrs. Williams)! Well, I have successfully passed that trait onto Sydni. Not intentionally of course! She was so proud of herself when she realized she could do it. So it has since made for some pretty funny moments.

We were at the ranch and swinging the kids in the backyard. Chris was swinging Kenzie in the baby swing and Sydni was swinging in the big rope swing. Chris asked Kenzie if he could swing in her swing and she said, "No you're too big, go put on a diaper!" Meaning then he would be little enough to get to swing in her swing. Chalk one funny up for Kenzie!!!! Then, Chris said
" Oh, Momma liked it the last time I wore a diaper!" Okay I know you sickoes think that was perverted. Before we met he dressed as a baby w/ just a diaper and bonnet for Halloween on 6th Street. He says he won all kinds of contests. But I had to see pictures and they were quite disturbing. Anyways..................... As Sydni was swinging after he said that she says "Ugh... I'm going to have to roll my eyes at that!" Then, a HUGE eye roll took place and she said " Because that can NOT be true!" (That momma liked when he wore a diaper) Chalk one funny up for Sydni.
It was HILARIOUS!!!!!

We're Home!!!!!!

Well, my little rascals spent the week at the ranch. Chris and I drove down w/ them on Monday and spent the night. We had a very eventful day at the ranch on Tuesday and luckily I didn't have my camera and can spare y'all the gruesome details. For some reason the dogs (heeler & a lab) decided to turn into baby pig killers for the day. There was a hog w/ babies down in the hay by house and the mom left all the babies when the dogs scared her off. So.... throughout the day the dogs came back up to the house w/ 3 different baby pigs they had killed. One was just the front half of a body. We were all on pins and needles thinking the girls would be mortified. But, I guess they got PawPaw's true rancher genes b/c it didn't even phase either of them.

And a baby calf was born just as we got there and the girls got to see it right after it came out. The next day PawPaw, Dada & Kenzie went to check on the mom and she hadn't shed her afterbirth. So.... Dada had to hold the baby calf in his lap in the golf cart while it was squirming and peeing all over him and get the mom to follow them to the pins w/o attacking him. And he was wearing good clothes and new tennis shoes which I had warned him not to wear. But does anyone ever listen to Momma? It was quite the day on the Voss Ranch. We met in San Marcos yesterday at Centerpointe and picked them up.

I See Skies of Blue.....

WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
Yes, I think to myself what a wonderful world.

We enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday at the gorgeous San Gabriel park and playscape in Georgetown. What a great place!
